Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a proactive Project Manager for a Pittsburgh, PA-based role. You will oversee a diverse set of tasks from administrative to strategic, ensuring contractual compliance, budget discipline, and on-time milestones in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of PM experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and solid knowledge of rail systems and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of project management experience.
• Working knowledge of safety and security, Buy America regulations, train control systems, passenger vehicles, and rail systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with contractual obligations and technical aspects of the project.
• Direct and review overall planning to identify milestones and priorities.
• Determine and review budget estimates, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
• Contribute to achieving cost and schedule objectives while mitigating risks.
• Provide project status reviews to client.
• Prepare/ review cost and risk analyses and client claims.
• Maintain a strong client relationship.
• Ensure the project adheres to safety and quality assurance requirements.
• Perform other responsibilities as may be appropriate.
