Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Roller / Chopper workers for a fiberglass manufacturing company in Pocahontas, Iowa. You will operate a pneumatic spray gun to apply resin and chopped glass, prepare molds, and ensure quality as part of a production team.

The role requires physical work on a 10-hour shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety procedures. On-site work with weekly pay and benefits options is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, bend, reach for a 10-hour shift.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Fiberglass manufacturing, laminating, spray lay‑up, or composite experience preferred.
• Must wear PPE and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail.
• Pass a respirator fit test and meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate pneumatic chopper spray gun equipment to apply fiberglass resin and chopped fiberglass into molds
• Prepare molds by cleaning, waxing, and inspecting surfaces before production
• Use hand rollers to remove air pockets and ensure proper fiberglass consolidation
• Inspect fiberglass materials for defects, coverage issues, and thickness requirements
• Maintain spray guns, hoses, nozzles, and related equipment to support production efficiency
• Follow safety procedures for handling resins, solvents, and other materials
• Keep work areas clean and organized while supporting production goals

What You’ll Do as a Roller / Chopper

• Ability to wear required PPE, including a fitted respirator, protective suit, gloves, and eye protection
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety procedures
• Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test and meet physical job requirements
