Job summary

Burns Group in Columbus, MS is seeking a Roll-Off Driver to operate roll-off trucks safely and efficiently, transporting construction debris from job sites to recycling facilities. You will perform pre-trip inspections, comply with DOT regulations, and provide excellent customer service at sites.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and pass DOT drug and alcohol screening, background, MVR, and Clearinghouse checks.

Qualifications

• DOT Drug Screen, background screening, MVR screening, and DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query required.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States is required.
• Ability to work safely and serve customers professionally at construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Report to Burns Waste Dispatcher.
• Safely operate roll-off trucks to deliver and pick up containers from various construction sites.
• Ensure proper loading and securement of containers for safe transport.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring trucks are in good working condition.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Accurately complete and submit load tickets, route logs, and other required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and clients to coordinate timely service.
• Ensure proper placement of containers at job sites to avoid obstructions or damage.
• Handle minor maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressures, and report issues.
• Keep trucks clean and well-maintained.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients at job sites.
