Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a dedicated CDL driver to operate roll-off trucks, ensuring safe loading, unloading, and routing in accordance with regulations. You will communicate with dispatch, maintain logs, and perform inspections to guarantee safety and service quality.

Qualified candidates have 1–2 years CDL experience, a valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card, and a strong commitment to customer service in a fast-paced environment. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years CDL truck driving experience preferred
• Waste industry experience a plus
• General knowledge of truck mechanics
• Licensed to operate both manual and automatic transmission preferred
• Must be at least 19 years old
• Legally eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Operate truck in a safe manner in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
• Routinely enter/exit truck multiple times daily
• Climb to hook/unhook containers, move items to smooth the load and secure tarps
• Communicate with dispatch on additional work orders to ensure quality customer service
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
• Visually inspect roll off containers and ensure proper load securement to prevent loss of trash and debris
• Clean up areas located around compactor when servicing customers as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned truck
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers to provide excellent customer service
• Perform other duties as assigned
