Job summary

SMS group is hiring a Roll Maintenance Technician in Osceola, AR. The position is full-time with a 4 on/4 off rotation, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., performing daily roll-shop tasks, housekeeping, and crane rigging.

You will operate a fork truck, wear PPE, and follow supervisor directions. Education: High School/Equivalent; 2–3 years of related experience preferred; crane/forklift certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/Equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Two to Three years in a specific equipment function preferred; no supervisory experience required.
• Certifications: Crane and forklift preferred; in-house training provided to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain housekeeping in area of responsibility.
• Chocking/dechocking rolls, grinding rolls, and overhead crane rigging and movement.
• Operate a fork truck and take direction from lead man or supervisors.
• Wear required PPE and maintain attendance.

A Technician completes the daily tasks that are associated with working in a roll shop such as and not limited to housekeeping, chocking/dechocking rolls, grinding rolls, and overhead crane rigging and movement.
