Job summary

SMS group Inc in Osceola, Arkansas, United States is seeking a Roll Maintenance Technician. The role includes daily roll shop tasks such as housekeeping, chocking/dechocking, grinding rolls, and overhead crane rigging.

You will rotate 4 on/4 off, with 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am shifts. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 2–3 years related experience, and crane/forklift certifications (in-house training available).

Qualifications

• Education: High School/Equivalent
• Related Work Experience: Two to Three years in a specific equipment function preferred; no supervisory experience required
• Certifications: Crane and forklift preferred – in-house training provided to obtain certification

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping in the roll shop and area of responsibility
• Chocking/dechocking rolls and grinding rolls
• Overhead crane rigging and movement
• Maintain attendance and time-keeping documentation
• Follow directions from lead man or supervisors and wear PPE

A Technician completes the daily tasks that are associated with working in a roll shop such as and not limited to housekeeping, chocking/dechocking rolls, grinding rolls, and overhead crane rigging and movement.
