Job summary

Rocky Gap Casino Resort is seeking a Cage/Cashier/Guest Services representative to balance drawers, enroll guests into the Players’ Club, and explain membership benefits while maintaining accuracy across all duties.

You will assist guests with cashiering and club activities, balance bank, cash tickets, and support hotel front desk and other departments as needed. Strong guest service and math skills are essential.

Job description

Responsible for balancing various bank drawers, enrolling guests into the Players’ Club, explaining the benefits of membership and maintaining accuracy through all work functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists guests with cashiering and Players’ Club activities.
• Accurately balances assigned bank (cashier bank, Main Bank, etc.)
• Cashes tickets and other currency, in a courteous, timely manner.
• Cashes personal checks for currency.
• Maintains a working knowledge of the facility, as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests of same, whenever possible.
• Assists other Cage/Club Representatives as needed.
• Fills in for Night Auditor or Guest Service Representatives at the Hotel Front Desk as needed.
• Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
• Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
• Maintains a working knowledge of the Players’ Club in order to effectively explain same to guests.
• Resolves minor guest conflicts related to Players’ Club.
• Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
• Issues complimentaries to guests when appropriate level of play has been achieved.
• Adheres, strictly, to all policies/regulations regarding guest privacy and confidentiality.
• Brings concerns/problems and unusual guest activities to the attention of the Lead Cage Cashier and/or Cage/Club Shift Supervisor.
• All other duties as assigned.

REPORTING LINE

You will report directly to the Cage Supervisor and then the Cage Assistant Manager and Cage Manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
• The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.

• The ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide
• The ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
• The availability to work all shifts.
• The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and stressful situations.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
• The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college courses in Banking, Finance or related area preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 20 lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
