Job summary

Vital Records Control (VRC) in the United States is seeking an ROI Team Lead to coordinate the ROI area, manage workflow, and supervise ROI Generalists I and II. The role supports the ROI Supervisor/Manager with status reports and ensures timely processing of medical information requests.

The position requires at least one year of release of information experience, strong data entry skills, and a solid understanding of HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of release of information experience.
• Supervise ROI Generalists I and II and support ROI Supervisor/Manager.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and medical terminology is required.
• Strong data entry skills including 10 Key.
• Experience processing medical information requests from multiple delivery channels.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction and set associate goals to meet deadlines.
• Perform supervisory functions to assist ROI Supervisor/Manager.
• Receive and evaluate written requests for medical information.
• Interpret medical records and authorizations for release of information.
• Review requests for compliance with policies and HIPAA before processing.
• Generate status reports and assist with onboarding and training of ROI staff.
• Develop and share metric reports as directed by leadership.
• Mentor ROI staff for professional development and advancement.
