• RHIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets requests for copies of electronic medical records and ensures proper authorization and HIPAA compliance.
• Prioritizes ROI requests related to patient care and ensures secure sending of records based on patient needs.
• Identifies patients using Master Patient Index and applies minimum necessary rule.
• Searches all current and legacy medical record systems and updates the ROI module with sent information.

Associate's Degree or AHIMA ROI credential / RHIT
