Job summary

The ROI Specialist at MRO provides support at client sites for Release of Information requests for patient medical records. You will process requests, verify patient data, and log information into the ROI On-Line system, while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

You will answer inquiries by phone or walk-in and coordinate with physicians' offices as needed. A high school diploma and data-entry accuracy are required, with prior ROI experience a plus. MRO offers an equal opportunity work environment.

Qualifications

• One or more years of data entry experience.
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
• Strong verbal communication and attention to detail.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determines records to be released by reviewing requestor information per HIPAA.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues and log data.
• Respond to walk-in customers and log information into ROI On-Line.
• Process physician-office requests and fax information as needed.
• Log and scan medical record requests into ROI On-Line.
• Comply with site policies and handle cash payments where applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.
