Job summary

MRO is seeking an ROI Specialist to provide on-site support at client facilities for HIPAA-compliant release of information requests and patient record retrieval. You will determine records to release, review requests, and log activities in the ROI On-Line database; handle phones and walk-ins; process physician office requests; ensure accurate data entry and compliance.

A High School Diploma/GED is required; experience with data entry, strong communication, and attention to detail preferred;

Qualifications

• One or more years of data entry experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Attention to detail and dependable work ethic.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is preferred.
• Experience with ROI processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determines records to be released by reviewing requestor information per HIPAA guidelines and locating pertinent data.
• Answers phone calls on ROI issues and assists walk-in customers.
• Logs requests and scans records into ROI On-Line database; processes physician office requests as needed.
• Faxes information to physician offices and logs all activities.
• Handles cash payments at specified sites and complies with facility policies.
