Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration, within the Providence VA Medical Center, seeks a Supervisory Medical Records Technician (ROI) to lead the Release of Information unit. • Foreign education must include a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency if used.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide technical direction for the Release of Information unit.
• Review and process PHI requests in compliance with laws and policies.
• Provide customer service to Veterans or third parties and handle signed requests.
• Monitor workload, ensure timely release of records, and enforce quality controls.
• Coordinate with VA Regional Counsel on malpractice, subpoenas and tort cases.
