Avera Marshall Hospital is seeking an ROI Clerk to support the release of information process. You will handle ROI requests, verify records, process mail, and track requests within HIM systems. A strong customer service mindset and professional interaction with diverse stakeholders are essential.

You will work to ensure compliant handling of records, billing where needed, and responsive service to patients and staff while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in health information management or healthcare settings.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow HIPAA and privacy rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ROI requests by verifying completeness and processing mail.
• Fulfill release of information records, track requests, and manage fees.
• Greet and assist patients and staff in the HIM area and answer calls.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and other applicable laws in daily duties.
