Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an HIM Analyst II to support the ROI program, processing requests and ensuring HIPAA-compliant release of information. You will collect, verify, and retrieve records from EPIC/OnBase, resolve issues with attorneys and patients, and perform quality checks to maintain accuracy and privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year ROI release of information experience required.
• RHIT/RHIA certifications preferred.
• 2+ years ROI/Release of Information experience preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR workflows and OnBase/EPIC familiarity.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills.
• Able to work nights/weekends if required.
• Detail oriented with strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and completes ROI requests based on authorization and policies.
• Enters new requestors into ROI database and ensures provider information is up to date.
• Retrieves health information from multiple sources ensuring dates of service and identity are correct.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, 21st Century Cures Act and other regulations.
• Directs interactions with patients, attorneys, auditors and insurers to resolve issues.
• Coordinates with physicians when information is unavailable in EPIC or needs physician approval.
• Performs quality checks to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
