POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Rodman at LJA Surveying, you will be responsible for transporting and setting up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing job site for survey.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE

• Party Chief gives direction for this position
• Transport and set up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing job site for survey
• Clear brush or trees away from survey line
• Lays out stakes to prepare for elevation measurements
• Holding prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points
• Measures how far different points are from each other Horizontally
• Helps with various pieces of survey equipment
• willingness to travel

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

• HS Graduate or GED
