Job summary

LJA Surveying is seeking a Project Surveyor in Florida to supervise field operations, manage technical and drafting staff, and perform deed and map research. You will coordinate with architects, engineers and project managers to incorporate survey data into project plans while utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS, total stations, and 3D scanners to collect and analyze data.

Qualifications

• Professional licensed surveyor certification required.
• Minimum 10 years progressive surveying experience in the industry.
• 2+ years post-registration experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field operations, technical and drafting staff, deeds and map research.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and PMs to integrate survey data into plans.
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS and surveying hardware to collect and analyze data.
• Oversee boundary surveys, title data abstraction and client communications.

POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Project Surveyor at LJA Surveying, you will be responsible for supervision of field operations, technical and drafting staff, deed and map research and project management.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Responsible for supervision of field operations, technical and drafting staff, deed and map research, and project management.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate survey data into project plans.
• Use advanced equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, 3D scanners) and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to collect and analyze data
• Responsible for boundary survey calculations, analysis, and final map checking, abstracting title data, and client relations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Professional Licensed Surveyor

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10 years of progressive experience in the industry
• 2+ years of experience after registration
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients
