Job summary

Shelby Erectors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Reinforcing Ironworker / Rodbuster to join our Florida bridge and highway crews. You will handle reinforcing steel on footings, columns, decks, barriers, and other structural components, reading drawings to ensure builds meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Reinforcing Ironworker or Rodbuster.
• Experience with rebar installation; bridge/highway projects preferred.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Place, tie, and secure reinforcing steel according to project plans.
• Install rebar for footings, columns, decks, barriers, and other components.
• Read construction drawings and rebar plans.
• Work with foreman to keep projects moving safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Identify field issues and find practical solutions.
• Maintain focus on quality, productivity, and safety.
