NEW SEMINOLE MASONRY LLC in Sanford, FL, is seeking a Rodbuster for full-time, on-site work at construction sites. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, cutting and tying reinforcing steel, installing rebar and related materials, and coordinating with cranes and other trades to ensure safety and quality on projects.

The role requires 1–3+ years of experience with concrete reinforcement, strong safety awareness, and ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in concrete reinforcement or structural steel work.
• Ability to read construction drawings and follow technical instructions.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and rebar tying techniques.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and rebar schedules.
• Measure, cut, bend, and tie reinforcing steel using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Install rebar, wire mesh, and post-tension cables in accordance with design specifications.
• Secure rebar in place using wire, clips, or welds prior to concrete pours.
• Work with cranes or rigging equipment to position heavy materials.
• Inspect rebar installations to ensure proper alignment, spacing, and structural integrity.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors, concrete crews, and other trades on-site.
• Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.

Job Details: Job Location: NEW SEMINOLE MASONRY LLC - Sanford, FL 32773, Position Type: Full Time, Job Summary: The Rodbuster is responsible for assembling and installing reinforcing steel (rebar) used in concrete construction projects such as foundations, slabs, columns, bridges, and other structures. This role plays a critical part in ensuring structural integrity and adherence to project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and rebar schedules
• Measure, cut, bend, and tie reinforcing steel using appropriate tools and equipment
• Install rebar, wire mesh, and post-tension cables in accordance with design specifications
• Secure rebar in place using wire, clips, or welds prior to concrete pours
