Job summary

X-Bow Launch Systems, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for both on-site and remote work. You will join a multi-disciplinary team supporting solid rocket motor development, handling design, analysis, testing, and hardware deployment.

Expect hands-on assembly, troubleshooting, and participation in design reviews with internal/external customers. Candidate should have 5+ years with SolidWorks CAD and PDM, strong drafting/GD&T, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

5+ years' industry experience with SolidWorks CAD and PDM or equivalent.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of ~5 engineers.
Demonstrated experience with manufacturing processes and machining operations.
Proficient at drafting and GD&T.
Demonstrated mechanical hands-on assembly and trouble-shooting aptitude.
Willing to work in a manufacturing environment or on the floor during prototype and dry run phases.
Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc...
Able to present slides at a design review with internal or external customers.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR

Responsibilities

Support solid rocket motor development programs from design to deployment.
Join a multi-disciplinary team responsible for all aspects of design, analysis, test, and deployment of hardware.
Identify blockers, guide processes to address anomalies and performance shortfalls.
Verify requirements are satisfied and deliver on the master schedule.
