Job summary

X-Bow Launch Systems, Inc. is seeking a seasoned R&D Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to join the Advanced Development Organization.

You will contribute to design, analysis, manufacture, integration and testing of rapid development prototype hardware for propulsion and related systems. This role requires hands-on fabrication and testing, documentation of assumptions and results, and the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a design engineering role focused on solid rocket motors or missile systems.
• Proficient CAD skills, SolidWorks preferred; able to document methods and results.
• Experience with structural FEA and hand calculations; correlate with test data.
• Experience developing and executing engineering test plans and reports.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Support design, analysis, manufacture, integration and testing of rapid development prototype hardware.
• Lead requirement derivation, trade studies, and prototype design/analysis.
• Prepare test plans, document procedures and results.
• Communicate technical results to diverse stakeholders.
• Travel up to 15% as needed.
