X-Bow Launch Systems, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Tooling Engineer to support solid rocket motor programs, involving design, analysis, testing, and tooling deployment with hands-on shop-floor work during prototypes.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, identify blockers, verify requirements, and keep the master schedule on track while following best practices. A BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience are required; US Person status is a must.

• 5+ years' industry experience with SolidWorks CAD and PDM or equivalent.
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams and machining operations.
• Proficient in drafting and GD&T.
• Hands-on assembly and trouble-shooting aptitude.
• Willing to work on the shop floor during prototype phases.
• Basic MS Word/PowerPoint and Teams proficiency.
• Ability to present at design reviews with customers.

Job: Mechanical Tooling Engineer

X-Bow Systems is expanding and is looking to fill multiple new positions, Junior through Senior Mechanical Engineers.

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have a key role in supporting our solid rocket motor development programs. You will join a multi-disciplinary team responsible for all aspects of design, analysis, test, and deployment of hardware.
You’ll know you're successful in this role when you've identified blockers, guided processes to address anomalies and performance shortfalls, verified requirements are satisfied and you've delivered on the agreed upon master schedule while adhering to best practices. To thrive in this role, you must have demonstrated success in mechanical design, analysis, and test with an aptitude for hands-on assembly and integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years' industry experience with Solidworks CAD and PDM or equivalent
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of ~5 engineers
• Demonstrated experience with manufacturing processes and machining operations
• Proficient at drafting and GD&T
• Demonstrated mechanical hands-on assembly and trouble-shooting aptitude
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment or on the floor during prototype and dry run phases of a program
• Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, teams, etc...
• Able to present slides at a design review with internal or external customers
• Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Analysis skills from notebook level to computer simulation capturing stress and strain
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• Ability to travel at least once a month
• Design/Analysis/Manufacture and Test of assembly and transportation tooling and support structures
