Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for the Terran R program. You will own major mechanized assemblies from design release to test and integrate onto the launch vehicle, ensuring efficient, high-quality product flow scalable over time.

You will drive build and test through design integration, sourcing, sequencing, mBOM, work orders, and specifications. The team seeks a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, mentors others, and delivers manufacturability feedback

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering with 2+ years hardware experience.
• Experience developing processes and test procedures for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies.
• Experience interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, planning, and production.

Responsibilities

• Own major mechanized assemblies from design release through test and integration onto Terran R.
• Drive build/test through design integration, part sourcing, sequencing, mBOM, work orders, and specs.
• Support workcenter development considering operations, safety, tooling and equipment needs.
• Provide hands-on shop floor support and upstream feedback for manufacturability.
• Analyze recurring manufacturing discrepancies and lead root-cause actions.
• Foster critical thinking, mentor engineers, and push for efficient production.
