Job summary

Relativity Space is hiring for a hardware manufacturing role focused on Terran R vehicle sub-systems in Long Beach, CA. You will own hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery, ensuring quality for high‑volume production.

Collaborate across design, supply chain, production, and test teams to develop build flows, procedures, and tooling. Bring 5+ years of hardware experience and a degree in engineering to drive scalable processes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on hardware manufacturing or integration experience.
• Able to investigate hardware issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Familiar with assembly/testing procedures including tolerance stack-up, structural proof testing, and leak checks.
• Collaborate across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test to ensure hardware quality and schedule.
• Self-starter who can define and roll out new processes with technicians, engineers, and vendors.
• Proficient in GD&T, CAD, and basic design or test analysis; experience in two of LOX cleanliness, leak checking, sensor checkouts, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery for vehicle sub-systems; ensure execution readiness and quality.
• Develop and release detailed build flows, work instructions, and test procedures.
• Support first article builds, focusing on manufacturability and repeatability for ramp to higher production rates.
• Provide hands-on floor support during build and test and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate across design, supply chain, production, and test to ensure part readiness and tooling availability.
• Contribute to long-term manufacturing systems, tooling strategies, and production documentation standards.
