EDP Renewables North America is seeking a ROCC Manager to coordinate ROCC Specialists’ shifts and oversee the operational applications and procedures, ensuring 24x7 wind farm operations and remote control. You will support the ROCC and provide leadership in the Director’s absence.

Based in Houston, this full-time role requires experience in wind operations, NERC standards, PJM coordination, and SCADA systems, with strong problem-solving and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field, preferably Electrical or Controls Engineering.
• 7+ years in operating processes in the wind industry or 8+ years in operation and control of industrial processes.
• NERC Reliability Coordinator (preferred) and PJM Generator Operator certifications.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, EMS, and SCADA.
• Strong understanding of ISO requirements across EDPR NA assets with ROCC remote operations.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Analytical problem solving, strong communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate ROCC Specialists’ shifts to ensure 24x7 operations.
• Develop shift schedules and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor NERC reliability compliance; data QA/QC; on-time submissions.
• Support ROCC during abnormal events and restore wind farm operations.
• Develop reporting of ROCC performance and provide improvement recommendations.
• Understand EDPR NA switching practices and direct switching when needed.
• Maintain ROCC qualification processes and asset databases.
