Job summary

Novanta Inc. is seeking a Territory Account Manager for the Northeast region and parts of NC/SC/VA/GA/TN to drive bookings and revenue. You will develop territory plans, manage the sales process, pursue leads, and provide regional forecasts while coordinating with engineering, procurement, and quality teams.

The role requires a strong mechatronics or related engineering background and at least 5 years in sales, with knowledge of encoders, motors and controls. Up to 50% travel expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Mechatronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven in-depth technical knowledge of mechatronic components with 5 years of Sales experience.
• Know‑how of encoder, motors and controls technology is mandatory.
• Market know‑how in Robotics, Medical Robotics, Semiconductor, Metrology or Satellite Communication.
• Multiyear track record of customer management with OEMs and long-cycle qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bookings & revenue targets and strategic objectives for the assigned geography.
• Create and update a territory plan and action plan to deliver results.
• Drive the sales process: Call, Opportunity, Account and Territory Management.
• Pursue sales leads and prospective clients.
• Provide regular accurate regional forecasts and reports.
• Handle contract negotiations with new and existing accounts.
• Develop relationships with other Novanta sales organizations in the region.
• Maintain complete, accurate, timely and compliant data in CRM (Salesforce).
