Job summary

DoorDash Labs is seeking a Technician Lead to bridge high-level engineering goals with shop-floor execution. You will be a hands-on contributor 90-95% of the time, performing advanced diagnostics and repairs while guiding the team to meet uptime and output goals.

You report to the Operations Manager, Service Operations, in a Bay Area on-site role across Fremont, San Jose, and Sunnyvale. You will act as the escalation point, refine workflows, document maintenance actions, and lead projects that

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of service work experience
• Strong experience in work order management systems
• Valid U.S. driver7s license; MVR experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to hit fleet uptime and repair goals while personally executing the most complex robotic diagnostics
• Perform advanced repairs on intricate electrical systems, control units, and hardware
• Act as the process owner for the service center, refining workflows for repair accuracy and efficiency
• Provide dependable, accurate technical documentation and shift handovers, setting the Gold Standard for the technician team
• Lead medium-to-high complexity projects tied to fleet uptime and reliability from start to finish
• Serve as primary DRI for troubleshooting systemic hardware issues and escalate bottlenecks to engineering
• Communicate clear success metrics for maintenance projects, assign tasks, and remove roadblocks to maintain timelines
