Job summary

GRAM is seeking a Robotics Technician (Contract) in El Segundo to build, wire, instrument, inspect, rework, and test insectoids and their subsystems. You will translate engineering releases into physical hardware and maintain records linking each test to the actual article on the floor.

You will perform controlled assembly and testing of subsystems, ensure proper documentation, and comply with workspace controls and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Proficient in mechanical assembly and electrical workmanship to documented requirements.
• Able to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, BOMs, and procedures.
• Demonstrated use of measurement and diagnostic equipment for accept/troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Assemble subsystems from drawings, BOMs, schematics, and instructions.
• Fabricate and test wiring harnesses, sensors, and low‑voltage assemblies.
• Install instrumentation and operate meters, scopes, and data‑acquisition tools.
• Perform subsystem checkout, calibration support, and functional test under procedures.
• Diagnose build discrepancies using inspections, measurements, and logs; escalate as needed.
• Maintain travelers, traceability, and documentation of tests and results.
