Job summary

GITAI seeks an on-site Electromechanical Technician in Torrance, CA to assemble and integrate electrical and mechanical hardware for space robotics projects. You will solder, crimp, wire, and assemble components, while working with engineers to resolve design issues and establish repeatable manufacturing processes.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on experience with prototype fabrication, read electrical/mechanical drawings, and can travel to remote test locations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on electromechanical assembly experience.
• Experience with prototype fabrication and hardware integration.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Comfort performing soldering, crimping and instrumented testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate electrical and mechanical hardware, including harnesses and connectors.
• Perform soldering, crimping, wiring, and mechanical assembly with quality control.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify design/assembly issues during prototypes.
• Turn one-off builds into repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Create/work instructions, fixtures, and tooling; support testing and repair.
