Job summary

Tutor Intelligence is seeking a technically credible, customer-oriented engineer to own a portfolio of Tutor robot deployments in production. You’ll be the trusted technical partner for each site’s operations, engineering, and maintenance teams, accountable for both operational and technical success over time.

This role is not traditional CS or product engineering; you’ll diagnose issues across software, hardware, and processes and work with engineering to implement improvements that benefit

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years in a technical customer-facing role such as applications engineering, field engineering, robotics deployment, or technical account management.
• Technical depth in robotics, industrial automation, controls, mechatronics, manufacturing systems, or warehouse/logistics tech.
• Comfort working hands-on with both software and physical systems in real-world environments.
• Ability to diagnose, tune, and improve outcomes with deep understanding of complex systems.
• Genuine relationship orientation with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of customer sites end-to-end; be the primary technical partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
• Develop deep working knowledge of robot systems; diagnose issues credibly and partner with engineering on resolution.
• Diagnose and resolve operational and technical issues in real-world environments across software, mechanical, and process dimensions.
• Partner with engineering to execute improvements, providing field context and validation without writing code yourself.
• Track fleet health metrics (uptime, reliability, throughput, satisfaction) and proactively act on signals.
• Translate field reality into product insights for engineering and product teams; voice of the customer in roadmap discussions.
• Collaborate with Account Executives on expansion opportunities where customer success enables growth.
