Job summary

Lab37 Robotics is seeking a Firmware Engineer to own embedded software for our robot boards, from hardware bring-up through production deployment and field support. You will work with electrical, motor-controls, robotics software, and manufacturing engineers to define interfaces and diagnose failures.

This hands-on IC‑level role requires strong C/C++, real‑time thinking, and the ability to ship reliable software and tools used across teams. Location is Pittsburgh, onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

• A track record of shipping microcontroller firmware on custom hardware and supporting it beyond the prototype stage.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain embedded C firmware for custom microcontroller boards, including device drivers, board support, communication protocols, and application state machines.
