Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer for the Online Calibration team to support scaling calibration across our autonomous vehicle fleet. You will turn calibration and estimation methods into reliable, observable and resource-efficient components of the on-vehicle runtime, operating continuously on constrained, hardware-accelerated platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong practical expertise in sensor calibration, state estimation or robotics domain.
• Strong understanding of filtering and estimation methods (Kalman, Bayesian, smoothing).
• Strong modern C++ and Python skills for prototyping and tooling.
• Experience productionising algorithm-heavy robotics software for vehicles or edge platforms.

Responsibilities

• Extend and deliver robust production software for the online calibration node.
• Adapt and integrate calibration and estimation algorithms for onboard execution.
• Handle asynchronous sensor data and accelerator-produced features.
• Strengthen validation, gating, persistence and interfaces with fleet systems.
• Profile and optimise critical paths for constrained compute and memory.
• Build simulation, replay, bench and on-vehicle tests and improve diagnostics.
