Job summary

Wayve in Sunnyvale is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Fleet Management team to build platforms that deploy software to vehicles, monitor health, and provide real-time fleet visibility.

You'll own projects end-to-end with collaboration across Research, Safety, Ops, SRE and Infra, and work on interfaces between vehicles and external dispatch services for robotaxi operations.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience building, shipping, and operating production full-stack applications and web services.
• Strong frontend depth with React, TypeScript, and MUI; backend depth with Rust/Go/Node.js.
• Experience designing, building, and operating APIs and web services with reliable, observable systems.
• Track record of owning meaningful projects end-to-end from design to production.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures.
• Experience using metrics, logs, traces, and observability tools for data-driven decisions.
• Clear communication and collaboration across Product, Engineering, and Operations.
• Interest in mentoring engineers and contributing to technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Build reliable distributed services and workflows for deploying software and AI models across vehicles; ensure correctness and rollback handling.
• Develop interfaces for robotaxi operations and external dispatch services to enable remote autonomous operations at scale.
• Create scalable services, APIs, and interfaces providing deep visibility into vehicle state for fast diagnostics.
• Build tools to explore and analyze large volumes of vehicle telemetry and operational data.
• Develop reporting tools tracking vehicle utilization and system performance to support data-driven decisions.
• Own end-to-end software from design through production and ongoing maintenance.
• Participate in design reviews and mentor teammates to raise engineering practices.
