Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Embedded Software Development Engineer I to help build scalable robotics software used in our fulfillment network. You will work across mechanical, electrical, cloud software, and field support teams to deliver reliable embedded solutions.

You’ll own the software lifecycle from design to deployment, collaborating in a fast-paced environment that values ownership and operational excellence. Experience with C/C++, Python, and cloud platforms is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with programming languages C/C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
• Design and develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and microservices in a large distributed environment.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective.
• Leverage GenAI and AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity while staying current with emerging technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
• Work in an agile environment with CI/CD and on-call responsibilities.
• Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.
• Design and develop embedded software for safety-critical robotics systems using C/C++/Rust, focusing on safety and reliability.
