Job summary

Destro AI seeks a Robotics Software Engineer for field deployment and on-site support in customer warehouses. You will own the live software stack, deploy architectures, and collaborate with operations and IT to ensure uptime and rapid recovery.

The role requires traveling to sites, embracing off-hours work, and building repeatable deployment tooling while improving production code and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2 to 6 years of experience in systems engineering, robotics software, backend engineering, infrastructure, or field engineering.
• Hands-on production-grade coding experience beyond pure field support.
• Willingness to travel and be paged off-hours.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain the software services that run MothershipOS at customer sites, including deployment tooling and diagnostic utilities.
• Deploy and validate Destro's software stack in live warehouses, working directly with customer operations, IT, and engineering teams.
• Own production issues end-to-end during launch and stabilization, including off-hours incidents.
• Build and maintain containerized services (Docker Compose) and work with cloud infrastructure (GCP).
• Debug across the full stack, including robot state faults, sensor issues, API failures, and monitoring dashboards.
