Intuitive Surgical, Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA, is seeking a Software Engineer for the Multiport Software Group to support automated test and the internal da Vinci emulator. You will help build, deploy, and support our automated test framework, including the system emulator and hybrid hardware-in-the-loop setups.

The role requires balancing delivery of new features, supporting existing ones, and rapid learning of large, evolving systems while collaborating with engineers across teams.

Competenze

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years of experience and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience
• Experience understanding and debugging complex systems
• Experience using Python and C++
• Proficient communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of talented engineers.

Mansioni

• Expand the functionality of the internal da Vinci emulator by faithfully emulating embedded computers, microcontrollers, sensors, FPGAs, or physics models.
• Maintain operation of automated test rigs. The primary task involves debugging the integration of multiple software systems within the test rig.
• Assist in the development of an internal test framework for informal continuous integration and formal verification and validation of system software.
• Learn and explore the continuously evolving da Vinci system software and firmware.
