Job summary

Genesis is seeking a skilled Social Media Editor to own our brand across platforms. You will translate research and hardware progress into engaging posts, threads, and videos that resonate with researchers, labs, scientists, and potential hires.

You will work closely with engineering and founders to capture authentic voices, oversee publishing calendars, and ensure accurate representation of our robotics work across X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms.

Qualifications

• Social media or editorial experience leading a technical organization's channels.
• Ability to derive a story from research papers or hardware reviews while preserving essential caveats.
• Proven short-form video production skills including hands-on shooting/editing or directing.
• Strong writing for concise posts and technical threads with selective diagrams/visuals.

Responsibilities

• Run Genesis’s social channels (X, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and manage publishing calendars.
• Capture/edit short videos from lab/field; direct shoots with engineers to show tasks and results.
• Turn research/mode­l-training work into technical threads around findings or lessons.
• Attend engineering reviews and founder sessions to capture work and maintain individual voices.
• Engage researchers and the Genesis World open-source community with thoughtful replies and crediting contributors.
• Coordinate launch-day publishing with product marketing and asset preparation for accurate sharing.
• Review robot footage/captions for platform specs, autonomy, playback, and data-rights with customer approval.
• Measure reach and engagement among researchers/engineers and candidates; iterate content strategy.
