Job summary

Tutor Intelligence is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the Sonny V2 production line in Watertown, MA. You will oversee a team of assembly and test technicians, drive daily pacing, and build FRU kits to keep deployed robots ready for customers.

Ramping in Q2 2027, you will be the manufacturing product expert, translating designs into repeatable on-floor processes and supporting continuous improvement across the line.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading technicians in a production or manufacturing environment as a lead or supervisor.
• Hands-on production planning: translating a build schedule into daily work and tracking materials readiness.
• Experience bringing up a new product or line, not just running a mature one.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and root-cause problem solving on the floor.
• Experience with an MES/ERP for work orders, traceability, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Become the Sonny product expert by working with Hardware and Production Engineering through prototype and pre-production runs.
• Lead and develop a team of assembly and test technicians on the Sonny line; ensure training and productivity.
• Execute the build plan by turning monthly plans into daily/weekly work assignments and keeping the line on schedule.
• Build FRU (field replaceable unit) kits and coordinate with Supply Chain and Maintenance.
• Bring the line up and make it repeatable by developing instructions, validating processes, and ensuring traceability in the MES (ION).
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production Engineering, Deployment, and Hardware Engineering to meet schedules and customer needs.
