Job summary

Samsung Research America is seeking a Senior Robotics Systems Engineer to own the end-to-end software architecture for our robot platform. You will drive architectural decisions across software and hardware interfaces and build the foundations for scalable production robotics systems.

You will work across reasoning, dexterity, perception, and simulation teams, establish engineering practices, and implement CI/CD, containerization, and deployment strategies to enable rapid iteration and

Qualifications

• MS degree in CS/EE/Robotics with relevant experience.
• 5+ years of state-of-the-art robotics R&D.
• Proficient in Python and C++ on Linux-based software.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 and hardware integration.
• Experience designing components and clear interfaces.
• Practical Docker, Git, CI/CD and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Guide cross‑platform robotics software architecture and integration.
• Define repository structure, coding standards, reviews, tests, docs.
• Develop and integrate Python and C++ in ROS/ROS2 systems.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and tests for simulation/robots.
• Maintain Docker environments across x86-64 and ARM.
• Improve deployment, logging, and troubleshooting workflows.
• Support reproducible AI development and cloud training workflows.
