Samsung Research America in Mountain View, CA seeks a Senior Robotics Systems Engineer to own the end‑to‑end software architecture for our robot platform, shaping how hardware and software integrate at scale.

You will collaborate across reasoning, dexterity, perception, and simulation teams to define interfaces, build CI/CD pipelines, containerize environments, and establish robust deployment strategies for a production robotics system.

Qualifications

• MS degree in CS/EE/Robotics or equivalent
• 5+ years of robotics R&D experience
• Proficiency in Python and C++, Linux-based software development
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 and robotics hardware integration
• Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD and automated testing

Responsibilities

• Guide cross‑platform robotics software architecture and define interfaces
• Establish guidelines for codebase maintenance including reviews, testing, and docs
• Develop and integrate Python and C++ within ROS/ROS2‑based systems
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated tests for simulation and real robots
• Maintain Docker-based development and runtime environments across x86-64 and ARM
• Improve deployment, logging and troubleshooting workflows for robot systems
• Support reproducible AI development and cloud‑based training workflows
