MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking an OR Registered Nurse for a salaried, full-time role with rotating shifts and on-call weeknights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). You will circulate and scrub, participate in cardiac, neuro, and robotic procedures, and mentor staff as needed to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required, BSN preferred.
• 2 years of OR RN experience required.
• Current Iowa RN license.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for a wide variety of surgical cases, with full training provided.
• Participate in high-acuity specialties including cardiac, neuro, and robotic-assisted procedures.
• Grow your skills in robotics, gaining hands-on experience with leading surgical technology.
• Assess patient needs pre-, intra-, and post-operatively, responding quickly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs and support optimal patient outcomes.
• Document care and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and post-op care.
• Support, guide, and delegate tasks to LPNs and Nursing Assistants as needed.
• Participate in ongoing education, team meetings, and quality initiatives.
