Job summary

DoorDash Labs, an independent team within DoorDash, seeks a Material Handler Specialist, Logistics to support day-to-day inventory management and material handling in a robotics environment. You will receive, store, and issue components and robotic systems, and collaborate with operations and engineering to keep materials flowing.

You will safely operate pallet jacks and forklifts, record transactions in CMMS, perform cycle counts, monitor stock levels, and help maintain 5S-compliant storage

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience as Material Handler or similar.
• Familiarity with inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to become forklift certified if not already.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day material handling tasks: receiving, unpacking, inspecting, storing, and issuing components and robotic systems.
• Safely operate pallet jacks and forklifts; work around autonomous mobile robots.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers; secure and document items.
• Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment following standard procedures.
• Handle hazardous materials per safety procedures and regulations.
• Record inventory movements in CMMS software with accuracy.
• Perform cycle counts and support physical inventory counts; flag discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels and alert the team to shortages or overages.
• Put away received materials; keep storage locations organized and labeled.
• Support operations, engineering, and quality teams by keeping materials available.
• Keep stockroom clean, organized, and audit-ready per 5S standards.
• Follow established procedures and propose workflow improvements.
