Sorting Robotics Inc. seeks an Installation Technician to install and configure our robotic systems at customer sites across the US and Canada. Travel up to 100% is required, with overnight stays possible.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical work, installation documentation, and collaboration with engineering teams. A strong mechanical/electrical background and customer-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• Prior installation and maintenance of complex technical systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools and testing equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install and configure robotic systems.
• Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality.
• Provide training and technical support to customers on operation and maintenance of robotic systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve technical issues during installations.
• Document installation procedures and create installation reports.
• Assist with developing standard operating procedures for installation and maintenance.
