Job summary

ProMach in Alexandria, MN is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on robotic systems. You will design and support projects, hold design reviews with customers, and collaborate with multiple departments to detail prints and manage engineering changes.

You will also support Aftermarket services, retrofits, warranties, and service techs, using AutoCAD and Inventor to create detailed drawings and BOMs. A 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication with cross-functional teams.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and sales on machine specs.
• Proactive in maintaining updated drawings and BOMs.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and lay out dimensions, angles, curvature, and relationships of parts using standard drafting practices.
• Create multiple-view detail drawings using CAD equipment.
• Confer with internal teams regarding machine specifications and capabilities.
• Complete/document engineering changes and revise drawings and BOMs.
• Prepare BOM listing parts to purchase or fabricate.
• Draft assembly, sub-assembly, and layout drawings for assembly/repair.
• Answer questions from manufacturing staff about drawings.
• Select hardware and components as identified by engineers.
• Review project milestones weekly to ensure timely execution.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Engineering Manager.
