Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Field Service Representative to perform maintenance and sustainment on sophisticated robotic systems within the DoD portfolio. The role includes curriculum revision, instructional delivery, and the creation of instructional media and assessments.

The position requires teaching responsibilities, travel (25%–50%), and adherence to safety and quality processes. Amentum emphasizes disciplined training, testing, and continuous improvement in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or GED.
• Five or more years’ experience developing and delivering training.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Must be willing to attend a 5 week Robotic Maintenance and Repair Course hosted at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, MI.
• Must be willing to attend a two week Instructor Certification program hosted at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, MI.
• Must be willing to present a short period of instruction at an in-person interview to demonstrate ability to instruct.
• Must be able to complete evaluated teach-backs whereby the instructor provides a period of instruction to the other instructors and lead for the training department and receive instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and sustainment tasks on complex robotics equipment across the DoD portfolio.
• Revise and maintain curriculum, including electronics, welding or radio/electronics repair topics.
• Draft curriculum blocks, create graphics and integrate them into lessons.
• Teach short technical courses in accordance with approved curriculum to maintain proficiency and develop new techniques.
• Develop training plans, lesson plans, media, student guides and evaluations.
• Travel to units and training sites to support field operations (CONUS and OCONUS).
