Job summary

Bastian Solutions, a Toyota Advanced Logistics company, is seeking a Support Engineer to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in robotic systems and guide customers through technical challenges. You will track problems, gather data, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement fixes and improvements.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, experience with robotics (Fanuc preferred), and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience with robotics, Fanuc preferred.
• Ability to use software troubleshooting applications.
• Familiar with PLCs/ladder logic (Allen Bradley preferred).
• Above-average written and verbal communication skills.
• Mechanical engineering background to design improvements for reliability and service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to customer issues 24/7/365, on-call rotation.
• Form plans to fix customer issues and communicate status to customers.
• Escalate issues to other business units as needed for resolution.
• Design short- and long-term resolutions for products in the field.
• Assist with design reviews and new product development.
• Lead meetings with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
• Compile data and write reports to support product improvements.
• Document status and plans for field retrofit projects such as conveyors.
