Job summary

Bastian Automation, a division of Toyota Automated Logistics, seeking a Robotics Technician to support customers in the Fort Wayne, IN area. The role focuses on AV integration, troubleshooting, and on-site service, with occasional remote work and travel across North America.

The position involves hands-on hardware and software work, strong customer communication, and reporting. Team collaboration with the Autonomous Vehicle Operations Team in Georgetown, KY is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Minimum 2+ years of work experience in automation, AV, or related field.
• Willingness to travel overnight – up to 25% (and up to 35% travel as needed).
• Experience with PLCs, motors, servos, sensors, encoders or similar automation components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist or lead in integrating AV systems at Fort Wayne and surrounding areas with no overnight travel.
• Occasionally support other North American locations requiring overnight travel.
• Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot AV systems using a laptop and software interfaces.
• Observe and optimize AV performance at customer sites, and prepare technical reports.
