Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Technician II to support the manufacturing and testing of robotic systems.

The role involves setting up calibration and assembly equipment, providing technical input for work instructions, and solving production floor issues in collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams. Qualifications include a high school diploma with 3–6 years of UxS experience, ability to read blueprints, GD&T knowledge, and familiarity with CAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with related experience and/or training; 3–6 years of UxS technical experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret part specifications.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T ASME Y14.5M-2009 and IPC standards for Electronics Manufacturing.
• Ability to convey ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Familiarity with CAD systems and MS Office; exposure to autopilot systems and basic programming software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex robotic issues, perform mid-level repairs, calibrate systems, and support integration of new automation.
• Train operators on proper use of production equipment.
• Assist with creating, implementing, and maintaining process documentation and work instructions.
• Provide technical services for new products across machine/tool setup, line organization, flight testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability using GD&T, IPC standards, and empirical testing methods.
• Suggest improvements to legacy and new products and production processes, and assist with procurement of components.
