Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electromechanical Technician for a contract-to-hire role in Pittsburgh, PA. You will assemble, test, and troubleshoot precision electromechanical products in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, building complex systems and developing clear instruction sets for the team.

You will interpret engineering prints and schematics, create production documents, and train staff to maintain high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a relevant technical field.
• 15+ years of experience in a manufacturing or lean manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical products, precision instrumentation, and complex systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering prints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Experience producing production documents such as work instructions and checklists.
• Experience training production staff on safety, quality, and process standards.
• Experience with 5S, ESD, and FOD safety/quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical products following detailed work instructions.
• Test products to verify performance and compliance with specs.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical products and test equipment.
• Improve reliability, repeatability, and throughput of processes.
• Interpret prints and electrical schematics to guide assembly and testing.
• Develop production documents to support consistent builds.
• Train production staff on safety and quality standards.
• Support safety/quality initiatives (5S, ESD, FOD).
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve issues and refine docs.
• Perform panel wiring and mechanical assembly as needed.
