Actalent is hiring an Electronic Technician in Pottstown, PA for a contract-to-hire role focused on building and testing engineering prototypes. You will validate processes and tooling to enable smooth transitions from R&D to production, and you will work with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure manufacturability and product readiness.

Qualifications

• Build, test, troubleshoot, and validate new electronic products and assemblies.
• Proficiency with test equipment and electronics troubleshooting.
• Experience working from drawings, schematics, and engineering documents.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and test engineering prototypes, development units, and pre-production products.
• Support the transition of new products from R&D into manufacturing by validating processes, procedures, and tooling.
• Set up, operate, and optimize complex manufacturing and prototype fabrication processes.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and RF testing using specialized equipment.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing, prototype, and product-related issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
