Job summary

Amazon is seeking a talented EHS professional to lead safety and compliance for R&D and manufacturing of automation and robotic technologies. The role collaborates with product, manufacturing and deployment teams to scale deployments into production while ensuring regulatory alignment with Amazon policies.

You will conduct site safety assessments, mentor EHS staff, manage hazard analyses, and drive continuous improvement through data and incident trends. Travel up to 20% across regions.

Qualifications

• Experience with workplace risk assessments and hazard analyses.
• Familiarity with OSHA General Industry/Construction standards and environmental regs.
• Experience leading emergency response teams and incident command.
• Experience coordinating across multiple sites and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS standards and launch playbooks for site activation programs.
• Lead on-site safety assessments and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Mentor EHS professionals and ensure consistent safety standards across projects.
• Own and improve EHS procedures for safety programs; align with regulations.
• Perform risk assessments and develop hazard mitigation for contractor activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, Engineering, and Security to integrate EHS into design and workflows.
• Advise leadership on safety regulations and incident response protocols.
• Drive continuous improvement using data, audits, and incident trends.
• Develop and deliver EHS training content and communications.
